Oil supply pump Working principle |
Constant pressure and meteor hydraulic oil are provided for torque converters and hydraulic control systems to ensure the lubrication needs of friction pairs such as planetary gear mechanisms. The automatic transmission oil pump is usually installed behind the torque converter and driven by the bushing at the rear end of the torque converter housing. In the oil supply system of automatic transmission, there are two kinds of oil: fixed star pump and variable star pump. Metering oil pump The commonly used centering pump has internal gear pump, rotor pump, vane pump, etc., and the most widely used is still the internal gear pump. The inner gear pump consists of an outer gear, an inner gear, a crescent baffle, a pump shell, a pump cover, etc. The gear is tightly installed in the pump body cavity, the outer gear is the driving gear, the inner gear is the driven gear, and the liver baffle separates the outer gear from the inner gear. Transmission oil pump action
The oil pump is one of the important assemblies in the automatic transmission, and its technical condition has a great impact on the performance and service life of the automatic transmission. The oil pump is usually installed after the torque converter, bolted to the front face of the transmission, and is driven by the flywheel through the oil pump drive sleeve on the torque converter, and its speed is the same as the engine speed. Its role is to produce the necessary pressure of hydraulic oil for the hydraulic torque converter, actuator, electronic control system and valve body, and to provide lubrication to the internal parts of the transmission that need lubrication.
2 Transmission oil pump work
The oil pump of the automatic transmission is the basis of the work of the overall hydraulic control system, which can also be said to be the basis of the work of the overall automatic transmission. Most of the oil pumps are mounted in the front part of the automatic transmission housing and are driven directly by the torque converter housing. As long as the engine is running, the automatic transmission oil pump is in operation and outputs pressure oil.
3 Transmission oil pump principle
The driving gear is driven by the notch at the front end of the wheel hub driven by the torque converter, and the rotation of the driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate in the same direction. As a part of the oil pump housing, the crescent separator divides the working cavity between the driving gear and the driven gear into an oil suction cavity and an oil pressure cavity. When the engine runs through the drive hub on the torque converter to drive the drive gear to rotate, and the drive gear drives the driven gear to rotate counterclockwise as shown in the figure, in the oil suction cavity, the gear gradually disengages, the volume of the oil suction cavity increases, and the oil of the automatic transmission is sucked into the oil suction cavity; Due to the rotation of the gear, the oil between the teeth is brought to the oil pressure chamber, in the oil pressure chamber, the gear gradually enters mesh, the volume of the oil pressure chamber is reduced, and the automatic transmission oil is pressurized.
The lubrication of the planetary gear mechanism in the automatic transmission depends on the oil pump output after the pressure oil flow lubrication, if the engine failure is forced to tow by other cars, because the engine does not work, the oil pump has no pressure oil output, the planetary gear in the transmission can not be lubricated, in order to prevent abnormal wear, the trailer distance and trailer speed should be limited.
